Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. As a child, she was exposed to lots of classical music and older Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in singing at 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local initiatives, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations continue the tradition.
